There are many reasons to be a doctor, but the main one is helping people. To this end, do some volunteer work while you’re still a student. It will allow you to practice caring for others, and it looks great on a college resume. 

Take Your Pre-Med Courses 

The next step is taking your pre-med courses in college. AKA, get your bachelor’s degree. You don’t necessarily have to major in science or math, but you will need to take courses in these subjects to get your prerequisites out of the way. 

They also look good on med school applications and will help you with the entrance exam. 

Get Into a Good Med School

Do you know how you take the ACT or SAT during your junior year of high school? Get ready to do that again. During the junior year of your undergraduate program, you’ll have to take the MCAT

It’s multiple choice and consists of questions that will test your problem-solving skills. You’ll have to do well if you want to get into a good school. 

Take the First Half of the Licensing Exam

At the end of your senior year of college, you can begin applying to med schools. Part of your learning will center around classroom learning. You’ll also get some hands-on experience that will teach you how to use basic equipment that you can get from

While you’re in med school, you’ll have to take the first two sections of your licensing exam. You’ll take the rest of the exam at the end of your program after you choose a specialization.
