Government telecom company BSNL appears to be ahead of other companies in the broadband segment. BSNL has come up with a free internet plan for most users who are doing Work From Home due to the deadly corona virus. BSNL has introduced a new plan called ‘Free-of-Cost Work @ Home’. This free plan is rolled out for broadband users in all the circles of the country including Andaman & Nicobar. The company will not charge a single rupee for the broadband users for this plan.
There is no need to pay a monthly deposit or installation charge for this Work From Home plan on Zero Cost. The plan provides 5GB of data per day with a speed of 10Mbps. Speed will reach 1Mbps when data is reached. The specialty of this plan is that the company has not set FUP limit even after the 5GB data limit is reached. The company has come up with the plan while the government has called for people to Work From Home because of the Corona virus.
No new voice calling facility will be available in this plan, only active plans for calling will be available. ‘The new plan is for Internet data benefit only. But, BSNL’s plan will only benefit those currently having a landline connection.
On the other hand for Work From Home, some other companies, such as ACT Fibernet and Airtel Xstream Fibre, which provide internet services due to the Corona virus, have also made changes to their plans to attract customers. Airtel Xstream Fibre has stopped charging new customers for installation, while ACT Fibernet has increased the speed to 300Mbps and has offered unlimited data until March 31, 2020.
BSNL is offering the Work From Home plan for one month from the date of initiation. In spite of the fact that the arrangement is accessible for existing BSNL landline supporters, new clients can choose the most recent contribution subsequent to enacting any of the normal landline designs by the telecom administrator.
